You are invited to explore the observation decks and underwater viewing areas to see these magnificent creatures up close. However tickets must be purchased for special touching and feeding sessions that are scheduled throughout the day.
At Friendship Cove in Marineland, you can touch and feed killer whales, and watch “Jump and Splash” shows that highlight the majestic grace of these huge marine mammals. It’s one of the up-close and personal experiences you’ll find at Marineland Niagara Falls.
Despite their name, killer whales are actually gentle and affectionate animals. While the name ‘killer whales’ has been used for centuries, these ocean dwellers are actually members of the dolphin family. Also known as orcas, it wasn’t until marine parks such as Marineland began to study these animals that their fun-loving nature was discovered.
Today, the killer whales at Marineland entertain and delight thousands each year. Housed in one of the largest whale habitats in the world, they can enjoy a safe and comfortable living environment.
